Real Age

I took this test less than two years ago, and my RealAge (as seen on Oprah a while back) was about two years younger than my calendar age. Since having the baby, my RealAge is now 2.5 years older than my calendar age. My poor hubby did a lot worse. There’s a dog one, too (dogage.com), and Quinnie did awesome except that she needs more exercise (like her people).

Some things that make me younger:
Having a healthy BMI (body mass index).
Having parents that stayed together.
Being happily married.
Not taking any meds.
Wearing my seatbelt.
Being a non-smoker.
Avoiding second-hand smoke.
Having a dog.

Some things that make me older:
Worrying.
Headaches and migraines.
Lack of exercise.
Not flossing enough.
Eating red meat more than once a week.
Eating habits.

We know we need to take better care of ourselves, so we can have healthier lives. I think working on our RealAges is something I’ll add to my New Year’s Resolutions. Well, being more active is definitely something my husband and I have been talking about improving, which is tough for me because I’ve always hated working out. I also need to serve less red meat, more fish, and more fruits and veggies. Oh yes, and I really have to force myself to floss.

  1. Great post–you are so beautiful!I am headed over to take the age test now, lol! I bet I'm like 105 years old, hehe!

  2. I have headaches and migraines so many times a month I'd end up being 98 on that test!

  3. Oh, I'd be afraid to test my real age, haha. But my positives and negatives are about the same as yours :)Great resolution though, that's what I need to do!~Tabitha

  4. Don't worry, those seem like simple things you can work into a habit into the New Year. Just attempt baby steps! I used to not floss until I went to my dentist a while back and she told me I had some trouble with my gums. SO, I listened and added it to my routine every night and my gums now are awesome. Just take it easy and you'll be surprised by the outcomes. Don't expect overnight miracles too 🙂
