“Last Christmas”

{ This was my last Christmas}

I just realized this morning that it’s now the season for playing the song “Last Christmas” on repeat, dancing like a silly girl, and singing out loud to it when it plays at the mall. I’m not sure who did the original, but I have the Ashley Tisdale version. Even though Christmas doesn’t really equal heart break, I like it because it’s a fun song. When I was in my later part of high school and early part of college, I worked at the mall (Abercrombie & Fitch), and they played this song over and over again at Christmas. A lot of the people I worked with (including my favorite cousin) got to know the lyrics (if not everyone), and now it’s one of my Christmas favorites. My sister and I like to get really dramatic with the song in certain parts. I hope I never get tired of singing and dancing around like a silly girl.

“The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.”

P.S. I love Elf, so there will be many more Elf quotes this season. That is a promise.

  2. Love Elf too. Matt and I's first date! It's the very first movie i will watch at the start of the christmas season!

  3. Hmm…I wonder which cousin you are referring to here hehe. I must admit, when you spend most of the day folding clothes at the 'crombsie and listening to that track over and over again it really sticks! I did the overly dramatic interpretive dance to this song yesterday to some co-workers. Needless to say, they were VERY entertained and I laughed out loud-Literally!

  4. Hi there – WHAM! made the original version of Last Christmas (you have to know this, very essential info :)). And if you don't know who WHAM! is…well.. check out their video on youtube, it's absolutely fabulous. George Michael rocks. Happy holidays!
