Too Many Ideas

I have so many things that I want to do that I hardly get any of them done. My mind just jumps from one idea to another project to the next thing and back again. I try to make lists to prioritize and remind myself what I want to do, but my mood is always changing in regards to what I’m excited about at that moment. I have so many designs that haven’t been started or haven’t been finished. I have solutions for organization that I repeatedly forget to implement. I have shelves of partially consumed reading material, yet I still want to start reading more.

Don’t get me wrong. I have gotten a lot of things read, done, and organized, but they never seem to complete my ever growing list of goals. It’s a double edged sword. I’m always trying to do more, or improve something (or myself). However, I probably need to slow down and enjoy nothingness more.

My husband can often do the complete opposite. He might dive into a project and not resurface until it’s completed even if sometimes it may be impractical to continue at that time. However, he knows how to (as he says) “just be,” which I still need to practice.

I guess I can put that on my list of things to accomplish 🙂

  1. Just be. I like that. That's a constant thing I try to do! Harder than it seems.
