My goals for this “semester”

[ Patrick the starfish’s “To-Do List” ]

Even though I’ve been out of school for almost 3 years, I still think of life happening in semesters. The fact that Tim is in school probably contributes, as well as the simple fact that I spent 16+ of my 26 years being formally educated. To me it just makes sense. Half of the year starts in January, summer is it’s own time, and the other half of the year ends in December.

Anyway, I’ve been looking back at my New Year’s Resolutions, which I do every so often to make sure I’m still doing the ones that I want to accomplish, and thinking about other things I’d like to get done before the end of the year.

Right now I have to keep focusing on Cady’s party which is about a week. I have relatives and in-laws coming into town. I still have party related shopping to do and crafts to make, and of course, I’ll be making cakes and cupcakes next week for the big event. I also need to get my eyebrows waxed, make a hair appointment for the momentus occasion, and have myself, the baby, and the decorations ready for the arrival of the photographer a few hours before the party starts.

However, I have been thinking a lot about what I want to do once the party is behind us. I have a lot of projects that I wanted to do but just got pushed aside during every day life and forgotten about. I want to: sew, crochet, photograph (I’m taking that class, remember?), take more videos of the baby, start doing yoga (for stress relief and back pain), decorate, and continue making cakes and cupcakes.
