Sign up for emails from the CPSC

I was a little freaked out by the fact that I didn’t hear about the Infant Tylenol and Infant Motrin recalls until I read it on a blog post from someone who had heard it from a reader. I looked online, and apparently, you can receives news in your inbox from the Consumer Product Safety Commission about the newest recalls. I have already signed up and received two emails for the last two days with six different recalls.
None of them apply to us, but imagine if something we bought was recalled and we had never heard about it because we didn’t happen to check on the website. Even though this did make it onto the news, recalls almost never do if you think about how many products are being recalled every day. Not that parents should rely on the news for all of their information anyway. Certain things get reported. Some do not. That’s why we have to keep up to date, and I need to get better at doing so.
